Party like it’s 1972

The Broker (821 17th St. in Denver) is rolling back its prices. From April 14 to April 18, the restaurant rewinds its lunch prices to 1972. The time-travelling menu is available between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and only for dine-in. The most expensive item — roasted prime rib for $6.95. Since no reservations are accepted for this immensely popular promo, arrive as soon as possible after 11 a.m. or after 1 p.m. to avoid the lines.

Market price

You don’t need a coupon or an accountant for this deal. On Tax Day, April 15, Boston Market is cooking up two individual half-chicken meals for just $10.40 (just like the 1040 tax form). Each meal includes a half rotisserie chicken with your choice of two home-style sides and freshly baked cornbread.

Basket case

This is one of our favorite Easter promotions, because it’s all free. Bass Pro Shops (7970 Northfield Blvd. in Northfield Stapleton) is hopping with family fun daily through April 20. Kids can get a free 4-by-6 photo taken with the Easter Bunny from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 2 to 7 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Egg hunts for ages 2 to 10 are set for April 19 and Easter Sunday, April 20, from 2 to 3 p.m. (Be sure to register at 1:30 p.m.) Plus, children can pass the time creating a bunny picture frame on April 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. and, April 19 and 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. For details, call 720-385-3600.

Tune into recycling

Recycle electronics for free on April 19. From noon to 3 p.m., Techno+Rescue’s recycling trucks will be in the parking lot at The Stampede (2430 S. Havana St. in Aurora.) There’s no charge to dump your old or unwanted computers, laptops, cell phones, office phones, monitors, keyboards, printers, copiers, fax machines, cables, CFL bulbs, clothing and even TVs of all sizes. Have personal documents you need destroyed? Free secure shredding is also available, with no limit on quantity. Volunteers will be on hand to assist with unloading.

Each Monday, Laura & Bryan at compile “Cheap Checklist” to help find deals, discounts and freebies. Know of a deal? E-mail info@milehighonthecheap.com 10 to 14 days in advance.
