Despite the success of his sophomore album, “Because the Internet,” continues to feud with his label, Glassnote Records. The rapper/actor took to twitter on Monday to complain about how the company handled the release of his new video for “Sweatpants.”
“i dont like record companies. but im not having another project go through this,” he said after noting that other record companies were interested in him after the release of “Because the Internet.”

Before the album was even released, Gambino was showing frustration with Glassnote, complaining about a song leaking early.
“im trying to create one of the more imaginative rollouts, and other people’s lust for money and impatience is ruining it,” he tweeted in late-November.
Upon its release, “Because the Internet” debuted at No. 7 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and as of late-February sold 223,000 copies.
