
Man arrested for shoplifting shoe inserts. On April 4, a Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to Walmart, 13420 W. Coal Mine Ave., unincorporated Jeffco (Littleton), where he was taken to a suspected shoplifter who had been seen taking shoe inserts out of its packaging and leaving the store without paying. The suspect told the officer he stole the inserts for his girlfriend. He was cited and released.
Homeowners complain about cigarette butts in yard. A man and woman called deputies on April 6 to report an influx of cigarette butts in their yard in the 6800 block of West Portland Place, Columbine (Littleton). The deputy asked the couple to continue to report the incidents and they said they would buy some surveillance equipment.
Woman reports possible burglary. On April 5, a woman called deputies to report someone going through her yard in the 6000 block of South Vivian Street, unincorporated Jeffco (Littleton). The woman and her neighbor reported a man coming out of her shed and gave a description. Deputies were unable to find anyone matching the description.
Suspicious call reported. A woman called deputies on April 4 after she received a suspicious phone call at her home in the 6500 block of South Dover Way, unincorporated Jeffco (Littleton). The woman said a man called and asked for her husband. When she said he wasn’t home, the man asked for his cellphone number. When the woman refused, the caller became irate and said he would come by the house. Extra patrol was ordered.
