Racetrack drag race. Neighbors of a racetrack facility at 17010 E. 88th Ave., Commerce City, called police April 7 because they notice headlights on the closed track in the middle of the night. Police stopped two cars and cited four people for trespassing.

Stove gone. A man who lives in the 3200 block of East 128th Avenue in Thornton moved his stove into the driveway while cleaning out his house April 7. When he came back outside, the stove was gone.

Unauthorized store benefits. Police were called to Family Dollar, 6071 E. 72nd Ave., Commerce City, because security guards had been investigating one of the store’s employees for stealing. They showed police multiple tapes of her giving herself high discounts at the register. She was arrested April 4.

Bench rules. The owner of a business at 6443 E. 72nd Place, Commerce City, called police because a drunken man was sitting on a bench outside his front door and refusing to leave. The suspect said there was no sign posted about where he could sit. He was arrested April 2.

Prohibited pooch. A patrolling officer noticed a wandering dog near East 66th Place and Kearney Street in Commerce City on April 1. The officer found the dog’s owner and discovered that she also had two Staffordshire Terriers, a banned breed in Commerce City. She was cited

Skipping registration. A woman called police to her home in the 6500 block of East 70th Avenue in Commerce City because someone stole the back license plate off her car while it was parked in her driveway April 1.
