COLORADO SPRINGS — Vice President Joe Biden will address 1,000 graduating Air Force Academy cadets at a ceremony in Falcon Stadium on May 28.
The White House confirmed Biden as the graduation speaker Monday.
The academy’s graduation rites have traditionally included a top-flight speaker and will again feature a flyover of F-16 fighters of the Air Force Thunderbirds flying team.
Biden also addressed the 2009 Air Force graduating class.
In past academy speeches, President John Kennedy announced a national program for supersonic airliners and lunar ambitions, and President George W. Bush announced a Middle East domino theory to encourage democracy that some credit with triggering the Arab Spring movement.
