4-Runner run-in. Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies responded April 12 to the 900 block of Swede Gulch Road, Evergreen, in reference to a traffic dispute. The driver of a red Toyota 4-Runner reported she turned right onto Swede Gulch Road when a driver of a white Toyota 4-Runner turned left onto the road and cut her off. The cutoff victim said she honked and the other driver stopped, got out of his car and a confrontation ensued. Both drivers were advised to modify their behavior.

Wrong for the job. Deputies went to the Seniors’ Resource Center, 5120 Highway 73, Evergreen, on April 7 on a report of an unwanted party. The suspect was contacted in the parking lot and said he had been kicked off the property. He had applied to be a driver for the center, but was not hired because he smoked marijuana for his arthritis. He asked if he could volunteer but was told to leave because he was not an employee. Police advised him to leave and “he walked away on Highway 73.”

Caution: Graffiti. Deputies reported April 11 that a road curve sign in the 24800 block of Turkey Creek Road, Evergreen, had been written on with black marker. The graffiti read “newkirk is a liar.”

Solar panels stolen. An employee of Golden Solar contact Golden police on April 7 to report four solar panels missing from the Lookout Mountain Youth Services Center, 2901 Ford St. He said his company had installed the panels three weeks earlier and they were the property of the city. An employee of the facility said he saw a pickup truck near the panels the evening of April 6.
