Each year, the offers preplanned, Colorado-adapted gardens that are sure to provide your landcape with bloom and color; save water; and save you money. Anyone in Colorado can order a Garden-in-a-Box; plus residents can get a $25 discount on the gardens, which range in price from $99 to $134. But there’s a limited supply of those discounts breaks, and they are sold out in Longmont and Lafayette, so … you know what they say about early birds.

This year, available to Aspen residents only, with plants that are hardy to 8,000 feet.

The rest of us can choose between a a full of plants selected for dappled shade; or the “Sunset” or designed for full-on sun. The gardens feature 15 to about 30 plants in 4-inch starter pots.

If you’re all about food gardening, the garden features tomatoes, eggplant, spaghetti squash, basil, more: a total of 32 plants for $59. The center also has to keep your new plants happy.
