Indian Hills Fire Protection District released the unofficial results of Tuesday’s election for its board of directors.

Early numbers show that incumbents with 108 votes, with 96 votes and with 87 votes will win the three open seats on the five-member board.

That leaves newcomers with 80 votes and with 70 votes off the board.

The imcumbents have seen the district through an overhaul of its communications system, which includes . The board also faces an ongoing conversation with the community regarding the renovation of its fire station, with cries to scale back original plans.

Walton named the issue in :

“In general, the biggest issue facing our community, as it is with most communities, (is) communication where all sides listen and discuss topics with an open mind and communicate with respect.”
