You know in horror movies when it shows all the rich kids hanging out before everything goes horribly wrong? That’s kind of the vibe we get from ‘s new video for “West Coast.” In mostly black-and-white, the video looks like the result of David Lynch directing an episode of the “O.C.” The song is presumably from her upcoming album, Ultraviolence, which still has no release date.
As for the song? It’s pretty good, with abrupt Black Keys-esque tempo changes (the album is supposed to feature production from Dan Auerbach) and creepy, sultry vocals from Rey.
Lana Del Rey will make her Colorado debut at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on May 19. Watch the “West Coast” video above.
