1 Burglary call a big misunderstanding. A woman from California called Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies on May 6 to report that her mother’s home was being burglarized in the 9800 block of West Powers Circle in the Littleton area. The woman said she had received a text alerting her to the break-in. When the officer arrived, the house was dark and there were no signs of a break-in except for a small broken window. The officer radioed to call the homeowner, but she had already called 911 to report the officer’s presence, thinking he was a prowler. The woman then told the officer that she noticed the broken window earlier and was planning to call the next day.
2 Neighbors quarrel over dogs. On May 6, a woman called a deputy because she said her neighbor was harassing her and her dogs in the 11900 block of South Maxwell Hill Road, unincorporated Jeffco. The deputy contacted the neighbor who said he was walking by with his dog on a leash and her dogs began to charge. He was able to scare them off, but said it happened constantly. The deputy told the woman she needed to control her dogs.
3 Woman claims Comcast tech damaged fence. A woman called deputies on May 7 after a Comcast technician allegedly damaged her fence in the 7800 block of South Marshall Court, Columbine (Littleton). The woman said she had an agreement with Comcast since there was equipment on her property but she said the technician did not use a key and damaged her fence by gaining access. She estimated the damage at $500.
