The five-minute scene is set-up by Louis Tomlinson who says, “Joint lit. Happy days.”
The bandmates continue in their caravan through the streets of Peru acknowledging that smoking pot is “very controversial” and even making comments about the “po po” escorting them while smoke drifts through the van. Zayn and Louis refer to having “Chile chicken, baby!” while other members of the band’s crew advise that they have a “full chicken.”
At one point Louis wonders if this moment will “ever come back” to him. Yeah, itap definitely coming back, Louis. Given the guys tween fanbase, parents will likely go nuts over the video, even though Tomlinson is 22 years old and Malik is 21 years old. Next time you decide to film yourselves smoking pot, you should do it in Colorado, One Direction. You know, where at least you couldn’t get in legal trouble.
When the band’s film “This is Us” came out last summer, the band was asked why there was no video of sex or drugs. Louis advised that although the band likes to think they’re rock and roll, they really aren’t.
