A garden excursion
June 7 is the date of the 12th annual Whittier-Mapleton Garden Tour, a self-guided tour of private gardens in downtown Boulder. Participants will see a variety of landscapes, plants and flowers along with beehives and backyard chicken coops from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Master Gardener volunteers from Colorado State University Extension will be on hand to answer your gardening questions. Tickets are $15, free for children age 12 and under. Proceeds benefit the 132-year-old Whittier International Elementary School, which serves international and low-income students. Boulder,
