The Foothills Animal Shelter in Golden had 107 dogs and cats adopted Sunday as part of the kickoff to its .
The free adoptions Sunday included spay or neuter services, vaccinations, microchips and health checks for dogs and cats.
The costs will be reduced by half though Saturday.
Foothills is one of 50 animal shelters across the country to participate in the A to increase adoptions between June 1 and Aug. 31.
