Under a proposed contract, new Jefferson County schools superintendent Daniel McMinimee would draw a base a year, giving him the highest salary of any superintendent in the state. His total compensation would be the second-highest in Colorado.
Some Jeffco residents and school board members think $280,000 is too much, and have suggested reducing the the offer.
Board member Lesley Dahlkemper thinks $200,000 would be a more appropriate salary.
McMinimee’s predecessor, Cindy Stevenson, made $205,500 in the final year of her 12-year tenure.
What do you think? Should McMinimee make $280,000 a year? Vote in our poll at right.
