DURANGO, Colo. (AP) — San Juan County authorities are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 32-year-old mother of two in Silverton.
The Durango Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1ibx2UK ) Jessica McFarland was stabbed to death at about 1:45 a.m. Friday. Her husband, Michael McFarland, was arrested and is being held on suspicion of second-degree murder.
Authorities have not said what led to the stabbing, which marks the first homicide in the town since 1985.
