
1 Couple fights at storage unit. On May 28, a Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a dispute between a man and woman at Public Storage, 10270 W. Hampden Ave., unincorporated Jeffco. The woman said the man threatened to break her things. She blamed him for breaking a picture frame earlier. The man said he had been giving the woman money and wanted it back. The deputy said that was a civil matter.
2 Window broken while woman on vacation. A woman called deputies May 29 when she returned to her home in the 5700 block of West Chestnut Avenue, Columbine (Littleton), after vacationing and found a golf ball-sized hole in a window. The woman said the window was intact when she left and her daughter had been taking care of her dogs. The daughter said she noticed the window, but didn’t tell her mother until she returned.
3 Man reports suspicious call. A man living in the 5900 block of South Xenophon Court in the Littleton area, called deputies on May 29 after he received a suspicious phone call. The caller said the man owed money to the IRS. The man said he argued with the caller, and gave a deputy the caller’s number. The deputy traced the number and found similar complaints associated with it.
4 Car window shot out. On May 30, a man living in the 6800 block of South Dover Way in the Littleton area, called deputies to report that a window on his car had been shot out. The victim told deputies he heard what he thought was a shot, but dismissed it because it coincided with a storm. He also noticed damage to his neighbor’s car.
