Getting your player ready...

My name is Trevor Wade Encinias and I have lived my entire life with a giant chip on my shoulder. I have lived my entire life with one leg and have had to hear everyone tell me what I can and can’t do, tell me that I am disabled or handicapped. I am not. If I am disabled, would I have started on varsity for the Pueblo West High School football team? Would I have finished 33-15 in my senior wrestling season?

If you think I am handicapped, I probably don’t like you. If you treat me differently, I probably don’t like you. If you tell me I can’t do something, I’m going to do it.

I am excited to continue on with my life and pursue a college degree in biomedical engineering at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. As I pursue my goals, I will take the lessons I have learned throughout my high school career to help me get through any trial I may have ahead of me.

I am forever thankful to my coaches, my family and my friends, and to anyone else who has supported me the past four years.

Thank you.
