Q: I downloaded WhiteHat Security’s but could not get it to work. I went on the blog for the browser, and I believe they only have a Mac version. They appear to be working on a PC version. I wonder if the blog I read is correct?

A: While WhiteHat Security offers both versions for download on its website, I also encountered problems installing the Windows browser. A company customer support rep couldn’t diagnose my problem and didn’t offer a specific time frame for when they could issue a fix. So it appears their Windows browser isn’t yet ready for prime time. The Mac version, however, is an excellent alternative to Safari, offering increased privacy features and preventing often intrusive ads from appearing.
