
Lee McIntire, who headed the engineering firm CH2M Hill from 2009 to 2013, is set to retire as chairman of the board of directors, the Douglas County-based company said Tuesday.
The September board meeting will the last for McIntire, 65.
During McIntire’s tenure as CEO and board chairman the company doubled its revenues to $6 billion and its workforce grew 80 percent to 27,000 employees.
The company managed some of the world’s high-profile projects during McIntire’s time, including the London Olympics, the Panama Canal expansion and the Mumbai Airport.
“Lee is a long-time industry leader and we greatly appreciate what he has done for us, especially internationally and with program management,” CH2M Hill CEO Jacqueline Hinman said in a statement.
