The three people killed in Monday morning’s crash of a small plane in the mountains west of Denver were an Ohio family on vacation.
The victims were identified Tuesday as James Kerker, 43, Amy Kerker, 39, and 6-year-old Lucas Kerker, of Raymond, Ohio, a rural town northwest of Columbus, according to the Clear Creek County coroner’s office.
Lucas suffered from ataxia-telangiectasia, a neurodegenerative disease that causes loss of muscle control, immune system issues and high cancer rates, according to the .
