
1 Rainbow spandex. A woman was arrested for prostitution June 20 after security officers at the Travel America hotel at 5101 Quebec St., Commerce City, called police. The woman was wearing multi-colored spandex pants, so she was easily located by officers a block away.
2 Thieving friends. Police responded to the 13900 block of East 106th Place, Commerce City, because a man’s friends unlocked his car and stole his backpack and some jewelry June 19. The victim noticed that his car was open and suspected the people he was hanging out with. They returned the backpack, but not the jewelry.
3 Burritos aren’t free. Store security at the Sapp Brothers at 7120 E. 49th Ave., Commerce City, called police after they caught a homeless man walking out of the store with a burrito. He was ticketed June 19.
4 Breakup blockade. A man called police after his ex-girlfriend rammed her car into his car while he was trying to leave the ExtraSpace Storage at 9000 Gale Blvd., Thornton. The ex-girlfriend wanted her cell phone charger back from the victim, but he didn’t have it with him June 13. When he tried to leave, she crashed into his car. She was arrested.
5 Guests only. A man was banned from the Motel 6 at 6 W. 83rd Place, Thornton, after he screamed at motel staff to let him into his girlfriend’s room. Police arrested him June 12 after he punched walls in a drunken fit.
6 Music you can feel. A patrolling officer ticketed a driver for listening to music so loud that the officer’s car was shaking at the intersection of Croke Drive and Inca Court , Thornton, June 10.
