Interview with Bryan Williamson, owner
Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A: I was a sculpting major in college. At age 19, I took a jewelry class and got sent to the emergency room the first day for piercing a saw blade through the back of my finger that exited via my nail. I knew, “This is what I want to do.”
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A: One-on-one service. True custom design with the owner, a multiple award-winning designer and graduate gemologist. Unique mountain-theme store, friendly easygoing atmosphere offering high-tech interactive computer-aided design and state-of-the-art laser equipment.
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A: Passion. I truly love designing and creating people’s ideas and dreams into reality. Watching clients pick up their engagement ring and seeing them cry with joy. Even after 28 years, it still chokes me up.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A: Putting a customer’s idea or dream piece into reality and getting people to know we are here.

A: We accept all types of trade-ins. We are the mountain area’s largest estate buyer and seller of pre-owned jewelry. Mountain Gems Ltd. is a metal investment gold/silver bullion group, offering antique coins, bars and bullion gold for sale.
