Getting your player ready...

Q: In March, I started having problems with the browser on my Toshiba Thrive tablet. I called the tech department and followed the steps to reboot and clear the cache. The problem was corrected for about two months and now I am having the issue again. I did the exact thing that I was told to do last time and now I cannot get it to do anything. I keep getting a message that says it cannot establish a reliable connection to the server or the web page might be temporarily down. Is this tablet unrepairable?

A: It sounds like your tablet doesn’t have an Internet connection and the problem may be with your router. If you haven’t already done so, reboot (or power cycle) the router and modem. Visit for directions. After resetting the tablet to default factory settings and repowering it, check the Wi-Fi menu to see if the tablet can connect to your home network. If not, and another device is able to connect to the network, then you probably have a defective tablet.
