
1 Firecrackers go off in truck. A man called Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies on June 29 after he heard some firecrackers go off in front of his house. Deputies went to the 4900 block of South Arbutus Street near Morrison, where the caller had found a spent brick of fireworks in the bed of his truck. The brick was attached to two raw eggs, which were still intact.
2 Man uses flip-flop to strike daughter. On June 26, deputies responded to a fight at the Columbine Lounge Bar, 7660 S. Pierce St., Columbine (Littleton). They were told the fight was between a man and his daughter and the man used his flip-flop to hit her. The daughter’s husband later arrived and said the two often fight when they drink. Both were cited for disorderly conduct.
3 Movie tickets cause domestic dispute. On June 27, deputies were called to the 8000 block of West Bowles Avenue in the Littleton area. They found a man standing outside a vehicle with his girlfriend inside. The girlfriend said the two began to fight when she suggested they shouldn’t go to a movie because her boyfriend was unemployed. The boyfriend got a refund and began yelling at his girlfriend in the theater parking lot.
4 Nintendo 3DS stolen by dad. A man called deputies on June 26 to report a stolen package that contained a Nintendo 3DS and that he believed his dad to be the suspect. A deputy responded to the 9200 block of West Geddes Place in the Littleton area where the father said his son habitually buys things online and charges it to his parents’ credit card. The father and mother often take the packages and return the items so they don’t have to pay for them.
