A sink hole has closed the right lane of West 14th Avenue between Cherokee and Bannock streets until further notice.
The hole was discovered around 4 p.m. Thursday, said Nancy Kuhn, communications director for Denver Public Works.
The hole is about a foot in diameter and possibly eight feet deep, she said.
The department’s waste water crews are looking for what caused the hole.
“At this time, we don’t believe it to be our sewer system,” Kuhn said.
Crews will inspect the hole with cameras on Friday morning before developing a strategy to repair it.
