
1 Glazed and confused. On July 2, Golden police encountered a woman outside King Soopers, 17171 S. Golden Road, who was upset with the store’s bakery manager for refusing to put extra chocolate icing on her doughnut.
Officers told her it was not a criminal matter and consulted the manager, who said the woman consistently harasses her. Officers notified the woman of a no-trespassing order against her and found she had an outstanding warrant in Arvada. She was arrested.
2Toyotas vs. Fords. Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a fight July 1 at Brooks Place Tavern, 25377 Conifer Road, Conifer. A man said he and his friend were discussing trucks when another patron at the bar said Toyotas “suck” and Fords are better. The Ford fan went to the other side of the bar, but returned and struck one of the men with the back of his hand. He was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.
3 Fire sparks during vacation. A man called the Jeffco Sheriff’s Office July 1 to report a fire had been set in his yard in the 6500 block of Kilimanjaro Drive, Evergreen. The resident returned home from a two-week vacation to find an area of burned grass in his yard and the remains of an aerial firework nearby.
4 Trash dispute. Golden police went to an apartment complex in the 18000 block of West Third Avenue, Golden, on a report of a fight. Witnesses said two women, who are neighbors, were engaged in a argument over one woman’s complaints of trash in the area. One of the women claimed to be hurt but no witness reported seeing any physical contact.
