The wide receiver will ride in an F-16 over Cheyenne, Wyo., with the , the official demonstration team that showcases the pride, precision and professionalism of American Airmen.
Welker will sit though a three-hour training and briefing program at Cheyenne Regional Airport before jumping aboard the F-16 for an hour-long flight.
The air show is the latest event in what has been an interesting summer for Welker. He was just in England to watch his race horse, Undrafted, compete in the July Cup. The 4-year-old gelding at Newmarket.
Earlier in the summer, Welker created quite a stir at Churchill Downs when he handed out $100 bills after winning a bet at the Kentucky Derby. Derby officials later said a member of Welker s group mistakenly received an overpayment.
