A bicyclist who died while riding near the summit of Independence Pass outside of Aspen had suffered a heart attack, the Pitkin County Coroner’s Office said Tuesday.
Steven Menscher, 51, had arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease, according to a release from the coroner’s office. A case of asthma contributed to the death.
and was pronounced dead at the scene on Colorado Highway 82.
