In an interview with Total Film, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently dropped a couple hints about which DC superhero he’ll play in the future.

Turns out that even the trailblazing, eyebrow raising legend of the squared circle enjoys comic book heroes. In the interview, he answers a well-phrased question regarding which hero he would be most excited to potentially play.

“It’s also tricky too because there’s baggage and it’s good baggage that I have. I am a certain way and my wiring is my wiring, my DNA is my DNA and when I step on set and on screen, I’m aware of what I’m able to bring to a character and so is DC too so it’s not the easiest thing,” Johnson said.

One of the characters Johnson ruled out but said he would have liked to play was John Stewart and his alter ego the Green Lantern. However, Ryan Reynolds currently plays Hal Jordan who is Earth’s second Green Lantern.

As Johnson continued, he went into some detail about his upcoming role.

“But I will say this, there’s a character out there that we’re going to announce very soon that I’m going to play. I’ll just say this, the power of superman…this character has the power of superman he can throw down. Just say the word, that’s all I’m going to say.”

While most media outlets are reporting this as a sure sign that “Rocky” is set to play . The big clue here is “just say the word” as when Shazam’s alter ego Billy Batson utter the word “Shazam” he is granted the power of mostly Greek and Roman gods. His powers is thanks to the blessing of a wizard named? You guessed it, Shazam.

However, some fans are holding out hope that Johnson may be referring to former DC villain turned antihero, , who also gains superpowers by saying “Shazam.” His power comes from the Egyptian Pantheon.

But the real question is how soon is “very soon?” Could DC make the announcement at San Diego Comic Con which begins later this week? We’ll keep you updated. Until then vote in the poll and tell us which superhero you’d most like to see the Rock portray.
