
1 Street spat. Two women were cited for screaming at each other outside in the 15100 block of East 116th Place, Commerce City. One of the women recorded the argument with her phone July 9. Police saw that they were both shouting and acting aggressive, so they both got tickets.
2 No solicitation. A patrolling officer stopped a man who was trying to sell aeration services door-to-door in the 10600 block of Nucla Street, Commerce City. The officer told the man he wasn’t permitted to pedal his trade in the neighborhood July 9, so he was given a summons.
3 Missing cash bag. The owner of Elevation Carpet Cleaning at 7000 E. 58th Ave., Commerce City, filed a police report July 8 after a cash bag with $2,500 disappeared from the store. The owner said she waited to file the report to see if any of her employees would admit to taking the money. No one came forward.
4 Banned fireworks. Residents in the 10100 block of Hudson Street, Thornton, called police because one of their neighbors was shooting off fireworks in the street July 3. Neighbors said the noise kept them up.
5 Essence of theft. A man was arrested at the Gordmans at 10001 Grant St., Thornton, for trying to steal four bottles of cologne and then breaking the front door while wrestling with store security July 2.
6 Illegal nap. Police were galled to a gazebo at Woodland Hills at 1500 W. Thornton Parkway because a homeless man was sleeping there. The man had been banned from that private gazebo multiple times in the past, so he was arrested July 1.
