
1 Plastic sword frightens woman. A few nights after a suspicious male was on her property, a homeowner in the 6000 block of Grandview Avenue in Arvada called police to report a knife sticking out of her fence July 9. It was a plastic sword left by neighbor kids. The woman apologized for calling about a plastic sword, but said she was frightened.
2 Woman followed at bus stop. A woman getting off the bus in the 5500 block of Wadsworth Boulevard, Arvada, on July 8 was approached by a man who asked for bus transfers. The woman said no and walked five blocks with the man following behind her. He waited outside her work before leaving.
3 Wallet stolen on bus. A man riding the bus in the 5000 block of Wadsworth Boulevard on July 4 was approached by a man who offered to sell him marijuana or a speaker. He declined, and the man stole his wallet and ran off the bus.
4 Bullets in park. A man walked into the Arvada Police Department, 8101 Ralston Road, on July 7 to report he found a box of .22 cartridges in a gutter near Oak Park on July 5.
5 Theft. A man walked into Home Depot, 5215 Wadsworth Blvd., on July 3, grabbed a pile of lumber valued at $241.56 and exchanged it for cash at the courtesy desk. He was issued a theft summons.
6 Attempted break-in. A homeowner in the 6600 block of Welch Court reported July 3 that someone had attempted to break into his garage. Police observed damage to a door handle and since the man was going on vacation, placed an extra patrol request for the neighborhood.
