The downtown Grand Junction Farmer’s Market is every Thursday evening through Sept. 25 and features fresh produce, handcrafted items, gifts and live entertainment. Market hours are 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Jazz in the High Country
The first annual Central City Jazz Arts Festival is Aug. 8-10 at the Reserve Casino and Hotel, with headliners like David Sanborn, Arturo Sandoval and more than 30 other regional and local acts. VIP tickets: $40; general admission is free.
A gold history
Buena Vista’s Gold Rush Days are Aug. 9-10 and held at McPhelemy Park, with historic demonstrations, storytelling, live music, a costume contest and the annual duck race.
Frisco art fest
The annual downtown Frisco Green Art Festival is Aug. 9-10. Artists will showcase sculpture, mixed media, paintings, photography, ceramics, glass and more. Free. Festival hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
