A man exhales marijuana smoke at a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in 2013. (Denver Post file)
A friend of mine recently went to a bluegrass concert at Red Rocks and had to leave early because she became so nauseous from the heavy marijuana smoke. I don’t understand why we have pushed so hard to ban cigarette smoking inside and outside in this state, but seem to have no problem with marijuana.
I know it might seem hard to believe, but not everyone is into pot and we don’t all like the smell. We feel our rights are being violated when we can’t go and enjoy a concert without leaving smelly and possibly high ourselves.
I think no-smoking laws should pertain to pot smokers, too, and if folks are found to light up, they should be asked to leave.
