Emily Griffith Technical Colleges (EGTC) of Health Sciences, Creative Arts and Design, Business and Technology, along with the Adult Education & Language Learning Center and Continuing Education Division have moved to 1860 Lincoln Street.
EGTC’s College of Trades and Industry and some of the non-credit Continuing Education Division will remain the block at 1261 Glenarm. These programs will move to a new branch campus at 1201 Osage Street next summer. In September, EGTC’s Video Production and Editing program will move to an updated studio, classroom and production spaces at 200 E. 9th St. The move will enable Colorado’s largest technical college to expand capacity in high demand career-training programs and provide state-of-the-art teaching facilities. Many of the college’s programs focus on middle-skills which require more than a high school degree but not a four or even a two-year degree. Recent data issued by the National Skills Coalition indicate demand for middle-skill jobs will remain strong in the United States and represent nearly 50 percent of the jobs currently available.
