
1 Toilet seat mystery. On July 31, a Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy went to the area of Green Circle, Conifer, where resident reported that her toilet seat was up. She said it was down when she left her home and this was the third such incident. She was sure she left it down in order to keep her cat from drinking from the bowl. Nothing else in the home was disturbed.
2 Post It note phone harassment. A woman in Conifer reported to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office July 30 that she received a “drunk call” from another woman warning her to stay away from her boyfriend. The reporting party returned the call the next day and the woman apologized, saying her boyfriend left women’s phone numbers around in order to drive her crazy. She was asked to destroy the number.
3 Sister trouble. A resident of the 100 block of Sagebrush Street, Golden, called Golden police July 27 because she was receiving threatening messages from her sister, who blamed her for the death of her dogs. The dogs were euthanized after the owner’s boyfriend took them to an animal shelter when she was taken into custody by deputies July 26. The victim was granted a protection order.
4 Mistaken residence. A resident of the 31000 block of Pike Drive, Conifer, called Jeffco dispatch July 31 to report she found two strangers on her deck taking photos. She asked them to leave and took their car’s license plate number. When contacted, the man said he thought it was his friend’s house and wanted to get a picture of the sunset. No charges were filed.
