Re: “Chive Fest will be a test of Denver’s events policy,” Aug. 10 editorial.
The Denver park system was never meant to make money for the city. Some agencies like wastewater developed a paying situation, which makes up some of the money they spend. But the parks were created for a totally different purpose, which seems to be lost on this administration. Please leave the parks alone. Don’t continue to commercialize them. Our lives contain too much commercialization now. Keep our parks pure for our citizens to find and connect with nature.
