A reader emailed me a link to the following YouTube video and noted it had less than 1,000 views. Hilarious. It was obviously made at least a year ago, but published April 9, 2014. It’s certainly a gem, given what Nathan MacKinnon accomplished as an 18-year-old NHL rookie.
I hadn’t previous heard of Mr. D, a k a Gerry Dee, a Canadian stand-up comedian. But he is a “beauty.” According to his bio, he was a P.E. teacher and hockey coach at De La Salle College in Toronto. So he’s really tuned-in to this skit, which really underlines what a rare hockey sensation MacKinnon is.
Cam Critchlow, meanwhile, played with MacKinnon for the Halifax Mooseheads before moving on the the University of New Brunswick, where the 22-year-old has played the last two seasons.
