From the first week of training camp, defensive end Greg Latta, an undrafted rookie from Purdue, was down with a hip injury. He never hit the Broncos’ practice field again. The Broncos waived/injured Latta today, trimming their roster to 89 players.
The Broncos had given him a chance and a $2,000 signing bonus in May.
The Broncos will start cutting their roster down to 75 players on Sunday.
