1 Fight starts after vomit. A woman was arrested Aug. 8 after she assaulted her sister in the 1100 block of Downing Street. The victim told Denver police that her sister was drunk and vomited at the house. When she asked her sister to clean it up, the suspect called her a vulgar name, began hitting her and threw her to the ground.
2 Magazine peddler not welcome. A man was arrested by Denver police Aug. 6 after he was found trying to sell magazines at Polo Grounds, 530 S. University Blvd. The man was contacted by security and told about a “no trespassing” sign on site. The suspect also did not have a peddler’s license.
3 Man assaulted by unknown suspects. Denver police responded to an assault and robbery Aug. 9 near the intersection of 14th Avenue and Williams Street. The victim told police that three suspects approached him, beat him and robbed him of between $100 and $700. The victim was unable to give details about the suspects.
4 Parties fight after car crash. On Aug. 10, Denver police responded to a fight in the 1100 block of 17th Street after a car accident. Police learned that a man and woman exited their respective vehicles after a crash. During an argument, the woman slapped the man and the man responded by punching the woman. A second man exited the vehicle and tackled the first man.
5 Shoplifter arrested. A woman was arrested by Denver police Aug. 9 after she stole items from Walmart, 7800 Smith Road. The woman was seen placing items into a plastic container and attempting to leave the store.
