The Douglas County Sheriff’s office confirmed Wednesday that a Denver police officer, Mark Beluscak, was arrested on Saturday.
Beluscak, 45, was charged with one misdemeanor count of child abuse. Details behind the allegation were not released.
Beluscak has been with the force since 2004, but was already on leave at the time of his arrest.
A Denver police spokesman could not confirm Wednesday that Beluscak was on leave from the force or why.
