Thirty years ago Thursday, Ivan Reitman, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis gave the world the film “Ghost Busters.” (Yes, it was originally .)

To celebrate the , hundreds of theaters in North America are screening the original, including several in Colorado, for one week starting Friday. For that week, at least, we don’t have to stress-eat marshmallows, or giant Twinkies over rumors about reboots, or , to get our fix of ectoplasmic residue.

The 30th anniversary event takes on a special significance, being only half a year removed from .

In celebration and remembrance, we fully expect “Ghostbusters” fanatics to attend in , such as a large and moving Torg, or that of a giant Slor.
