Grand Junction police shot and killed a man Monday afternoon after responding to a call.
A police spokeswoman said two officers responded to a call, asking that someone be removed from outside of a home on the 1700 block of Grand Avenue. The spokeswoman said the officers approached a person sitting inside a vehicle. A short time later gunfire ensued and the person was killed.
No names were released by authorities. Officers have been placed on administrative leave while the incident is investigated.
