1 Bulldozer joyride. Employees at Wagner Equipment Company, 18021 E. 22nd Ave., called police Aug. 9 because someone broke onto the grounds and crashed a bulldozer into the fence. The vandals also used the bulldozer’s rippers to “claw” the ground for about 100 yards. There are no suspects.
2 Your word against mine. A man went to police to report that another man punched him in the face at a park in the 2500 block of South Kittredge Way on Aug. 6. The victim said he and his friends were drinking, and that a man who lives nearby came out and punched him for being loud. Police found the suspect, who said he never hit anyone. There was no evidence either way.
3 Strange pattern. Police went to the 12300 block of East Tennessee Drive because three black cars in the area had their tires slashed Aug. 4.
4 Break in, leave presents. A man called police when he realized someone entered his unlocked car while it was parked in the 400 block of South Memphis Way on Aug. 4. Nothing was taken from the car, but the suspect left a cellphone on the passenger’s seat.
5 Kicking and stealing. Police were called to the 1600 block of South Evanston Street because a man came home and saw that his front door was open Aug. 6. The lock was broken and there was a boot print on the door. Two flat screen TVs were taken.
6 Window of opportunity. A woman called police to her home in the 1000 block of Sable Boulevard because someone smashed her car window and stole her cellphone while she was in the house for 20 minutes Aug. 6.
