1 Vehicular trespass. On Aug. 21, a Douglas County Sheriff’s deputy responded to the 3100 block of White Oak Lanein Highlands Ranch where someone had broken into a man’s garage and into his car and stole $539 worth of items from the center console. The man was not sure if he locked his car or not.
2 Car damaged. On Aug. 20, a deputy responded to the intersection of Sixth and Lincoln avenuesin Parker where someone had broken a man’s window, scratched it all the way around and damaged parts of the engine, rendering the car not drivable. The man had parked it there because it’s close to the bus station.
3 HOA trouble. On Aug. 19, a deputy responded to the 7300 block of Norfolk Place in Castle Pines where someone had damaged two carriage lights at a homeowners association office.
4 Mailbox mischief. On Aug. 18, a deputy responded to Kindercare,16975 Village Center Drivein Parker, where someone had used a frying pan to heavily damage an external mailbox worth possibly $20-$30.
5 Roof damage. On Aug. 18, a deputy responded to the Highlands Ranch substation for a possible crime that happened in the 19oo block of East Chesapeake Lane, where a homeowner believed someone had damaged the shingles on his roof.
6 Backpack theft. On Aug. 16, a deputy responded to a crime that took place at the Recreation Center at Eastridge,9568 University Blvd., where a man had set down his backpack and realized later it had been taken. It had personal items, including his wallet.
