Oops. A GOP attack on Democratic Senate candidate Michael Merrifield of Colorado Springs didn’t go as planned.
Journalists are probably the last folks who should point out someone else’s missing word or unfortunate typo, but a new GOP group’s attack on Democratic contains a boo boo that’s too delicious to ignore.
“Merrifield was state director of an organization that’s been accused of promoting the ‘confiscation of law-abiding citizens,'” read the online attack.

The attack is the work of the Colorado Republican Independent Expenditure Committee or ColoradoCore.org, which is working to elected seven GOP candidates to the state Senate.
Merrifield, a former state representative, is trying to unseat Sen. Bernie Herpin of Colorado Springs,r after Senate President for his efforts supporting gun control.
ColoradoCore faced a rocky . two out-of-state shots on its website when talking about Colorado values.
