Aurora police Thursday evening arrested a man they say is the suspect in five bank robberies in the city.
Brian Michael was arrested hours after he allegedly robbed a Bank of the West, 13781 East Yale Avenue, at about 5:30 p.m. According to police, a man entered the bank, demanded money from a teller and then ran out of the bank.
Following up on leads, Aurora police took Michael into custody a few hours later near Mississippi Avenue and South Havana Street.
Aurora has seen robberies occur in April, May and June. a Bank of the West branch near Interstate 225 and Yale Avenue was also robbed.
Aurora police said Michael’s girlfriend, Lindsay Bond, was arrested Thursday on a charge of accessory to robbery.
