Aurora police on Thursday evening arrested a man they say is a suspect in five bank robberies in the city.

Brian Michael was arrested hours after he allegedly robbed a Bank of the West, 13781 E. Yale Ave., at about 5:30 p.m. According to police, a man entered the bank, demanded money from a teller and then ran out of the bank.

Aurora police took Michael into custody a few hours later near Mississippi Avenue and South Havana Street.

Aurora has also seen robberies occur in April, May and June, as well as Aug. 6.
