Cycles in Salida
The Salida Bike Fest is Sept. 11-14. This four-day festival celebrates all things bicycles, with free group rides and mixers, a bike parade, films about biking and more. This weekend also includes live music, the 16th annual Monarch Crest Crank and the return of the Banana Belt Mountain Bike Race.
Oktober in September
The 20th annual OkotberFest celebration in Breckenridge is Sept. 12-14. Featuring plenty of parties on Main Street with more than two dozen food vendors, traditional music and costumes, German food, a 5K run and much more.
Automotive classics
ArtoCade in Trinidad is Sept. 12-14. More than 75 cars, motorcyles, bikes, scooters and tractors decorated in all forms of art will parade on Trinidad’s historic brick streets. Art exhibitions and special events and competitions will be held throughout town.
All things apple
Buena Vista’s Apple-Fest is Sept. 13. This old-fashioned festival features apple picking and apple pressing, croquet, horseshoes, tractor rides and demonstrations on sewing, blacksmithing, butter making and more. Plenty of apples and apple pies will be for sale.
