SCL Health, operator of Good Samaritan, Lutheran and St. Joseph’s hospitals, plans to move its headquarters from Denver to Broomfield by next July, the company announced Monday.
The nonprofit hospital group plans to take 104,683-square-feet in the Interlocken Advanced Technology Business Center at 500 Eldorado Blvd., where the company’s SCL Physicians network and its revenue service center already occupy 113,389-square-feet in building six.
About 360 jobs in finance, legal, human resources, corporate communications and administration, now located in the Diamond Hill office complex, will move to building four at Interlocken. The lease is large enough to accommodate an additional 150 new hires, the company said.
“It will give us room to grow. It seemed like the next logical step,” SCL spokesman Brian Newsome said, adding the move will reduce administrative locations to two from three.
There are currently no plans to relocate jobs housed in the company’s information technology services center in Lakewood.
Other Colorado companies based in Broomfield include Vail Resorts, WhiteWave Foods, Hunter Douglas Window Fashions and Level 3 Communications.
Newsome said the space SCL Health will take is currently occupied by Oracle Corp., which has a large presence in Broomfield, inherited from its 2009 , which in 2005 acquired Louisville-based Storage Technology Corp.
Oracle officials didn’t respond to requests for more information on any potential layoffs or consolidation associated with giving up office space at Interlocken.
SCL Health operates eight hospitals in Colorado, Kansas and Montana and more than 160 clinics. It to Denver in 2012.
The company is currently spending $623 million to rebuild and upgrade St. Joseph’s Hospital in central Denver.
