Walt Elish has resigned as CEO of the Northern Colorado Economic Development Corporation, the group’s board of directors announced Monday.

No reason was given for the resignation. Elish has served as the top economic developer in Larimer County since October 2011, a period marked with strong job growth for that part of the state.

“We are grateful to Walt for his service to NCEDC and wish him well on future endeavors,” said the group’s chairman Paul Mueller in a statement. “NCEDC has benefitted greatly from his leadership during his time with the organization.”

Prior to moving to Colorado, Elish headed up economic development efforts in northern Maine.
